Authoritarian states are normally considered primitive brutal forces that are smashing the popular movements with direct mass violence. It is rare that the modern technologies are used systematically to repress the people. In Belarus authoritarian regime of Alexander Lukashenko in last years developed good understanding of technologies and how they can be used to repress political movements.In this talk an anarchist and activist from Belarus is going to talk in details how the regime was using different modern tools of surveillance to smash the uprising demanding the end of dictatorship. It is a glimpse in the future where technologies are enemies of freedom and not the bridges to liberation.
